Her first stop is Padua, and she arrived there this morning. Padua is a city not far from Venice. Padua is on the Bacchiglione River. It has arcaded streets, communal piazze, and many bridges. It looks beautiful:
wayfaring.infoPS: I had to look up arcaded streets. What I found out made me want to live in a place with arcaded streets! They are covered sidewalks that protect pedestrians from weather. Arcade basically means series of arches. Here's an example:
Awesome! I'd like to get some of these in Asheville!
